As the tech industry expands with each day, new ways to access and install programs are developed. One of the quickest and simplest methods is the barcode.

By embedding a text or link, people around the world can download an app directly on their phones, for example.

However, in order to generate such codes, you need a specialized program that can do that for you. Barcode Generator is one of the many tools that offers an uncomplicated way to make your own codes and share them with your friends or clients.

As the application is installed through the Store, no additional elements are needed to work, and it doesn't take too much space. The layout is easy-to-use, divided into the recent section and creation area. A few samples are displayed on the left side of the panel to easily understand how it works.

To get started, select the desired format (QR code, DataMatrix, PDF17 or Code39) and category (email, Flickr, Facebook, URL, text). Afterward, you can input the email address, username, webpage or phone number, depending on your selection. Once the job is done, you can save the barcode to your computer as an image in PNG file format.

To check if the code works, you can scan it with a mobile app. Expired or unwanted barcodes may be deleted or edited while the active ones can be pinned to the main list. Sadly, there is no option to back up the database, nor to export the entire list to PDF format or save it as another type of text document.
