Barcodes are very useful in day-to-day marketing practices. Depending on one's line of work, barcodes might land in the shape of single files peppered with multiple codes. If your job is to split each individual barcode into separate files, BardecodeFiler will surely come in handy. This lightweight application is capable of splitting and renaming image files like JPG, TIFF, and PDF into individuals items, helping you categorize and sort everything up.
The installer runs like any other, but at the end of that, the configuration wizard kicks in. Follow it to create directories for input, output, processed, and excluded files. That's right, separate folders have to be created in order for the app to work. There are no basic settings for the app to load and output files from within the UI.
You can decide on how the app handle barcodes, include or exclude barcode types, determine patterns, and choose what types of image formats to process. JPG, TIFF, and PDF are the only accepted formats. On top of that, one cannot move both JPG and TIFF/PDF files in the input folder. Choose either JPG or TIFF/PDF and start splitting files. Restart the wizard from the Settings combo menu if you wish to swap formats.
BardecodeFiler UI pops up after the wizard is dismissed. To start using it, move the barcode images to the input folder. Click Run to start splitting things apart. In case of errors or warnings, the Overview tab will highlight the problem. For a better look at what went down, check the Log tab. The results are automatically sent to the output location and can be instantly accessed from within the File menu.
For individuals who prefer running processes from the CMD or like using scripts, BardecodeFiler can be tailored for such needs. Regarding scripts, the utility sports a hidden mode for subtle and efficient integration within any task at hand.
BardecodeFiler's purpose is to offer the user a way to sort barcodes into individual files by extracting them from image formats like JPG, TIFF, and PDF, supporting no other types. Besides script integration and CMD support, the app requires no other programming skills, which makes it viable for anyone interested in splitting barcodes.
