Getting Started with Bartender

To kick things off, open up the Bartender Preferences window and head over to the Menu Items panel. Here’s where you’ll see all the active menu items plus any system items. You get to choose what stays on your status bar!

Stay Updated with Notifications

If anything changes with your hidden items, Bartender will notify you right away. You can also decide how long those notifications pop up on your screen.

Limit What You See

Bartender lets you limit which items show up on your status bar to just the ones you frequently use. Plus, hidden items are still super easy to access—they can either stay as a single icon on the bar or be activated via a custom hotkey.
