Batch Blast Extractor is a small-sized and simple-to-use software program that facilitates a fast method to analyze batch blast results after extracting information. It comes packed with just a few settings that can be easily figured out.
Installation is not required, as long as you have Java set up on the computer. It means that you can save the executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to launch the tool. Another option is to save a copy of Batch Blast Extractor to a USB flash disk or other mass storage device, in order to directly run it on any PC effortlessly.
Worth mentioning is that the tool does not modify Windows registry settings or create extra tools on the HDD without your consent, thus leaving it clean after removal.
The UI is user-friendly, represented by a normal window with a plain-looking structure, where you can select the input file using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop method is not supported.
All you have to do is select the number of matches (best matches, 5, 20 or 100) and point out the saving directory, in order to click a button and immediately extract the information.
There were no type of issues in our tests, since Batch Blast Extractor did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and carries out extraction operations rapidly while remaining light on system resources. Thanks to its overall simplicity, it can be handled by any kind of users looking to analyzes data obtained from batch blast results. Too bad it has not been updated for a long time.
