However, it would have been useful to see support for custom sound notifications and popups messages that could let you know if the battery level gets below a user-defined value. The utility is not able to prioritize the running processes, so they don’t eat up too much power.

Battery Meter remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper your computer performance. On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a while, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
