Better File Select puts several methods of filtering out those files that meet specific criteria. As such, you get to set the primary condition, which is whether to apply or not, while a different drop-down menu is used for the action itself, with options for begin with, end in, contain, match wildcard or regular expression, various date-related options, exif support, folders, or even a random selection.



Depending on the filter condition you select, various fields become available. These are used to better define rules. Sadly, you can’t save any conditions to later trigger an easier manner. When you’re happy with configurations, pressing OK makes the window go away, leaving you only with a selection of files based on your options.



Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Better File Select manages to live up to expectations, providing an extension for file management operations you can normally perform through Windows default features.
