Description

BFilter

BFilter is a filtering web proxy that started out just to get rid of those annoying banner ads. But guess what? It's come a long way since then! It's not your typical tool because it doesn’t depend on blacklists, even though it can use them if you want.

Why BFilter Stands Out

The usual problem with blacklists is that advertisers are super sneaky. They always find new ways to slip ads through, and you’re stuck updating your blacklist every time an ad pops up. I got tired of chasing after them, so I created BFilter. It’s smart enough to detect ads on its own, kind of like how antivirus software finds viruses it hasn’t seen before!

Key Features of BFilter

Here are some cool things about BFilter:

  • Supports HTTP/0.9 - HTTP/1.1 and even WebDAV!

  • Persistent connections (only for HTTP/1.1).

  • Pipelining feature (again, for HTTP/1.1).

  • Compresses HTTP data.

  • Can forward requests to another proxy (for HTTP proxies only).

  • Has a built-in JavaScript engine.

  • Amazing heuristic Flash analyzer.

  • You can apply regular expressions to any page.

  • Works with blacklists, whitelists, and hint lists.

  • Processes everything on the fly—no need to load the whole page first!

Your Go-To Tool for Ad-Free Browsing

If you're tired of constant ad interruptions while browsing, BFilter might just be the solution you need! With its smart detection and flexible features, you'll enjoy a cleaner web experience in no time!
