Big Two is a free and exciting card game where your main goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. You do this by playing them on the table, which can lead to some fun moments!
In Big Two, there are four types of legal plays you can make: single cards, pairs, triples, and five-card groups. But here's the catch: a combination can only be beaten by a better combination with the same number of cards. So you’ve got to think strategically!
Let's break down how the cards rank. Single cards are ranked from high to low: two (the highest), ace (second highest), and then down to three (the lowest). When comparing cards that are of the same rank, remember that a higher suit beats a lower suit.
The suits are ranked like this: spades (highest), hearts, clubs, and diamonds (lowest). For pairs, you're looking at two cards of equal rank. Twos are still the highest in pairs while threes take the lowest spot. Any higher-ranked pair beats one with lower ranks.
If you’re dealing with triples, it’s just like pairs but with three cards of equal rank instead! Now when it comes to five-card combinations, there are five types that you can play in ascending order: straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, and straight flush.
