The program's interface was laid out for convenience and ease of use. It features four tabs arranged in the order in which users would expect to use them.

The Download tab allows users to copy and paste the URL of the media clip they wish to download. A nice feature is that the application monitors the system's clipboard and automatically pastes links in the appropriate field, which makes the process easier and faster.

To the right is the Activity tab. By accessing this tab, users can queue and monitor their downloads or open the destination folder without having to navigate their directory structure in order to find it.

The next two tabs, Convert and Merge add extra functionality to Bigasoft Video Downloader. One can convert and merge a wide variety of audio and video file formats. In order to make choosing the right one easier, a number of presets for multimedia devices such as the Apple TV, iPads and Zune as well as gaming consoles like the PS3 and Nintendo Wii are available. Files can also be cut and have their overall sound volume changed.

As another extra function, the application can remember the user's log-in credentials for password protected sites and authenticate them automatically in order to expedite the download process.
