BinaryConverter is an easy-to-use app made for tablets and desktops running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, which enables you to perform quick conversions between binary (base 2), octal (base 8), hexadecimal (base 16) and decimal format (base 10).

It's especially useful for Math and Computer Science students who need to swiftly find out this information and don't have a working Internet connection at hand.

The tool can be seamlessly downloaded from the Microsoft Store and integrated with the Start Screen in Windows 8 and 8.1, along with the Start Menu of Windows 10.

It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface made from a large window with a flat look, a feature shared among all Metro apps, which can be switched to fullscreen mode, thanks to the Windows built-in features.

All you have to do is type text in either binary, octal, decimal or hexadecimal form. It's not necessary to click any buttons to perform the conversion, since this task is carried out in real time (as you type).

Unfortunately, there are no features integrated for printing, copying or exporting the entire information to file. Instead, you can individually select and copy the text contents to copy by triggering the Ctrl+C key combination. Thanks to the Windows built-in features, you can also share the app with your friends via messaging, email, OneNote, or any other platform you have installed.

It didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the machine in our testing, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash.

Thanks to its approachable interface and options, BinaryConverter can be easily handled by anyone looking to convert code in binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal format.
