Microsoft has recently announced their big plans of launching an AI-powered Bing search engine that aims to improve how people interact and get results. The project entails a merge between Bing and Edge to provide better search results, a new chat experience and a different way to generate content. The next-generation search engine is allegedly more powerful than ChatGPT and is tailored specifically for searches.

If you are curious about this innovation and you want to check it out, unfortunately, you also know about the big waiting list to the early preview. In case you managed to cut the list and are testing it out, then BingGPT might be a tool you want to try out.

As previously mentioned, the biggest problem with this tool is that you can’t use it until you get the confirmation to use the early preview. However, this is not a feature related to the program in any way. Simply put, if you can use Bing’s new chat, then you can use the desktop app just as good or maybe more efficiently.

Since you are not dependent on Edge, it also can translate into a slightly improved performance, especially since the browser is known for consuming a lot of resources. So far, the developer didn’t include extra features to the app, features that would make things even more conveniently for the users, such as offline access to the search results or perhaps a quick way to find a topic within your conversations.

BingGPT can come in handy if you are regularly using and testing the AI model, but are tired of having to constantly open your browser to do your work. The tool is a great addition for anyone who would like to test out the new power of Bing, but are not big fans of Edge.
