Birthday

Since everything became computerized with time and most of us work in a digital environment that takes almost all of our time, we tend to forget about family, friends or co-workers birthdays. Birthday is a comprehensive yet easy-to-use application that helps you remember all the upcoming birthdays with ease.

It's wrapped in a straightforward and intuitive layout with a file list and a basic toolbar. When it's started for the first time, it asks to configure the settings to best suit your needs. You can change the interface language, enable the flag day event, customize the overall appearance and sounds.

To get started all you have to do is add a new person from the menu, by inputting its name, email and birthday based on which the age, general and Chinese signs, element and polarity are calculated. Unfortunately, the tool doesn't provide advanced fields such as address, phone, country or the option to attribute a corresponding image.

Birthday lets you view the contacts as a list or detail, and sort them by name, birthday, age or email. Plus, you can search for specific records based on different words or by date interval, and send a virtual message to congratulate that person.

The Reminder function which contains a sub-menu with three choices, such as today, upcoming and passed, which are connected to the reminder setting. It is enabled only if at least one document is inserted in the options dialog. If somebody is celebrating on a particular day, a message is displayed with all the available details.

When hovering the pointer over each name, a pop-up hint is shown saying the person's file location, and if there is an available email address, its name is highlighted in the chosen color. You can set a particular sound to be played when the reminder is run, and customize the dialog text color and shadow, transparency level, as well as the tone for visited and unvisited links.
