What is BitCannon FOR MAC?

BitCannon

BitCannon is a tool that makes using torrents a lot easier. There's always chatter about whether torrents are good or bad, but if you're into the whole idea of sharing files, you're going to appreciate what BitCannon offers.

Torrents Made Easy

With BitCannon, you can import archives from popular torrent sites like Kickass and Demonoid. This means you can access or download their backed-up content through a super clean and easy-to-use web interface.

Your Torrent Backup Buddy

You could think of BitCannon as a way to mirror torrent sites, archive indexes, and browse through them. The best part? You can still get to the contents of backed-up torrents even if the original site is down!

Getting Started with BitCannon

If you want to take advantage of all the cool features in BitCannon, you'll first need to download, install, and run MongoDB. This database helps you import and store torrents indexed by different websites.

Download and Run

Once MongoDB is up and running on your Mac, go ahead and download the BitCannon package. To get it started, just drag the binary onto your Terminal window and hit ENTER!

Your Own Torrent Search Engine

After importing your torrent archives (you can do this automatically or manually), just open up your web browser and head over to http://127.0.0.1:1337. That's where all the fun begins!

A Clean Interface for Easy Browsing

You're now ready to search for all those interesting torrents using BitCannon's user-friendly web interface! It has a handy search bar plus a top toolbar where you can find Browse and About menus.

Browsing Made Simple

The Browse menu lets you easily look through categories like Books, TV Shows, Movies, Applications, Music, Games, Anime, and more—all organized for quick access!

A Handy Tool for Torrent Lovers

All in all, BitCannon is an awesome tool that gives you quicker access to download torrents by searching through locally saved backups of torrent sites. It's straightforward enough for anyone to use; however, it's still in early development.

A Note for Mac Users

If you're on OS X though, it would be great if there was a native installer instead of needing to use Terminal every time! But don't worry; there's detailed documentation available on BitCannon's website if you need help getting it set up.
