BitRocket is a super easy-to-use app for Mac that lets you find and download torrents in just a few clicks. It’s lightweight, so it won’t slow down your computer, making it perfect for anyone who loves downloading files.

User-Friendly Interface

This app has a cool interface that gives you quick access to all the tools you need to manage several downloads at once. You can easily add new torrents, pause or resume your downloads, and even remove ones you don’t want anymore.

Toolbar Features

The top toolbar is really handy! It helps you clean up your download queue and shows where your downloaded files are in Finder on your Mac. It keeps everything organized and easy to find.

Search Engine Limitations

BitRocket used to have a built-in search engine that made finding torrents super simple. But here’s the catch: it’s no longer being developed, so the search feature doesn’t work anymore. Bummer, right?

Torrent Filtering Options

You can still filter through the list of torrents to see only those that are downloading, paused, or seeding. The filter dialog helps narrow things down even more if you're looking for something specific.

Torrent Information Tabs

The General tab gives you all the details about each torrent. Then there’s the Progress tab where you can check how fast things are downloading and uploading. Plus, you can see your overall progress there too!

RSS Reader Feature

Besides being just a BitTorrent client, BitRocket also works as an RSS reader! This makes it easy to keep up with news from different sources—all displayed in the left panel where you can add new sources without any hassle.

Current Issues with BitRocket

Sadly, since BitRocket isn’t maintained anymore, we did notice some crashes during our testing period. Also, remember that the search feature is out of commission while the “Announce” function might cause some issues too.
