Blackguards is part of The Dark Eye role-playing game collection and comes with a somewhat interesting premise: this time, the world has to be saved by a band of quite unlikely heroes.

The main character is a convicted criminal that has to team up with other misfits and go in an adventure against dark forces that are threatening to take charge of the realm.

Even though you are not familiar with this type of game, playing Blackguards proves to be quite intuitive. Beginners are advised to start with the basic mode in order to avoid having to manually configure all the aspects related to the main character.

Moreover, Blackguards integrates help messages that take the player through all the basic notions (you can deactivate them via the Options).
