Description

Blockbench

Blockbench is a super cool tool for anyone wanting to dive into 3D modeling, especially if you're a fan of Minecraft. It’s free and really user-friendly, giving you all the tools you need to enhance your gaming experience by creating your own models and textures.

Easy-to-Use Interface

When you open Blockbench, you'll notice its sleek dark theme. The layout is designed with different sections for editing and viewing your designs, making it easy to jump right in.

Starting Your Project

To kick things off, all you have to do is set up a new project. You’ll need to enter details like the file name, parent model, description tag, and texture size (if you're working with PE models). Plus, you can choose whether or not to enable ambient occlusion based on what you like best.

Create Different Models

You can make regular models or entity models and even export blockmodels, Optifine entities, OBJ models, and save JSON models too! When it comes to editing features, there’s so much you can do: add cubes, adjust angles and origins, load textures from local PNG files, scale items up or down, rotate them around—basically customize everything!

Painting Your Models

This app even has a paintbrush feature! You can change the color, size, and softness of the brush. Want something different? Use the noise mode or the eraser tool. There’s also a fill option to make painting super easy!

Inspecting Object Properties

You can check out various properties of your objects too! This includes their names, visibility settings for exporting them later on. And if you want to go big screen while working? No problem! Just hit fullscreen mode. You can zoom in on details or switch views whenever needed.

Display Mode Fun!

The display mode lets you see how your 3D model looks from different perspectives—like third-person or ground view. You can pick reference models like players or zombies and play around with rotation and scaling options until it looks just right!

A Must-Try for Minecraft Fans

All in all, Blockbench is just a blast for designing 3D models that you can use in custom Minecraft mods. If you're ready to give it a go yourself, check out this link here!
