Description

Booksearch

Booksearch is a super user-friendly software that makes finding books a breeze. Whether you're looking for a specific title, author, or just some keywords, this app has got your back! It's got a desktop client and connects with popular book search services like Amazon, BAM!, BookFinder, and Powell's. Best part? Even if you're not a tech wizard, you'll find it easy to use!

Easy Installation

Installing Booksearch is quick and simple. You won't hit any roadblocks because it uses familiar options that everyone knows. The interface features a compact window where all the magic happens.

Search Made Simple

You can dive right into searching for books using keywords, titles, or authors. Plus, you get to pick which online services to search through and choose how you want the results displayed. By default, the app will pop open an Internet Explorer window for each service—up to 10 at once!

Customizing Your Search Results

If you'd rather see everything in one place, you can set it up to show results in a single IE instance by organizing them into rows or columns. This works if you're checking out up to four online services at once! Some of the sites included are AbeBooks, OnlineBooks, Books-A-Million, Powell's, Amazon, BookFinder, Barnes & Noble, and ZVAB.com. Just keep in mind that Borders.com and Collins Books are no longer around.

User-Friendly Features

The tool has handy buttons for selecting or deselecting all websites quickly. You can even keep this little frame on top of other windows! And if you're curious about book conditions or sizes? There's an offline HTML page with a glossary of common abbreviations.

Performance Overview

In our tests, Booksearch performed searches swiftly while being light on system resources—no slowdowns here! It found book matches without crashing or throwing error messages.

A Few Drawbacks

On the flip side, it only uses Internet Explorer for scans—you can't choose your favorite browser. Also, two of the online services are outdated now. The interface could definitely use some TLC too since it hasn't been updated in ages.

If you want to check out Booksearch, you'll find it's designed for ease and efficiency!
