bookTome is a feature-rich application developed for managing a book collection. It is oriented toward all types of users, whether they are experienced with this type of tool or not.

The interface is professional-looking and well-organized. Adding a book to the database implies filling out some fields, such as book details (e.g. purchase store, list price, location, ISBN, read status).

You can attach ebook files, write a description with the help of standard word processing tools, assign tags and check out history records. It is also possible to import a background from Amazon.

You can edit or delete a book, browse books by author, series or category, use a search function when having a large database at hand, sort items (currently reading, recently, read, all read or unread), as well as make a wish list.

Plenty of options can be configured for this program. bookTome supports a backup and restore service and lets you directly edit the book database queries, view database statistics, import and export data, as well as manage backup files.

The application has a minimum impact on the system performance, using a low quantity of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time to commands and works smoothly. We have not experienced any issues throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. BookTome provides a user-friendly environment and nifty features for managing a book database.
