Easy Installation

Getting BoxCryptor up and running is super simple. Just drag it into your Applications folder since you can't run it directly from the dmg file. Once it's there, you'll need to create a BoxCryptor account. You can start with the free plan, which uses strong AES-256 and RSA Encryption algorithms to keep your files safe.

Remember Your Passkey!

Your Virtual Drive

Once you’re all set up, BoxCryptor creates a virtual drive on your Mac that shows all the files stored in the cloud. The app automatically detects any online storage solutions you've got installed but lets you pick which one you'd like to use with BoxCryptor through its Preferences window.

You can easily view all your cloud files and encrypt them right from the contextual menu. Plus, BoxCryptor gives graphical cues so you'll know which files are encrypted and which aren't—super helpful!
