Some basic forms of the computer were hardly able to perform simple math calculus, but now they provide results of complex operations in probably less than a second. Windows comes with such a built-in tool, but there are advanced third-party applications like BreezyCalc which don't need to be overlooked.
Setup takes you through a few easy steps, so you get the chance to check out the set of features before you realize, with an option which can bring up the application as soon as setup ends.
Don't expect to find a classic calculator format, because the application delivers its core feature in a slightly different manner. There's a large tape which saves all history of calculus, and expressions need to be manually written down. Although the tape can't be edited to add extra lines of text, there's the quick export option to generate a TXT file at a custom location.
Since functions aren't in plain sight and represented by buttons, you might end up scratching your head for a while. Luckily, all supported functions can be viewed in two separate panels, one for functions and constants, and another for geometry formulas. Detailed descriptions help easily understand how these are used.
Unfortunately, you need to remember the corresponding formula string, because there's no option to insert it, or copy it for easy manipulation. Constants like PI and Euler's number are also there.
In case the default set of functions isn't enough, the application gives you the possibility to create your own. This can be done for both functions and variables, with dedicated requirement fields showing up. Similar to default ones, custom formulas are found in an organized table.
Input needs to be manually done from the keyboard. Exporting is possible only as TXT. You can customize the tape font style and background color, but exporting discards every change.
Bottom line is that BreezyCalc provides a powerful platform where complex expressions can be solved in the blink of an eye. Most effort on your behalf narrows down to remembering and writing functions, but given the freedom of creating new ones, and the built-in list of functions, this application is sure to be worth your while.
