Bring to OneNote is a super handy add-in for Office that helps you turn Word and Excel documents into plain text. If you’ve ever tried sending documents to OneNote using the standard tools, you might have noticed some hiccups.
When using Office Word and Excel, you have two main options:
Both of these methods have their flaws. With the Printout option, all you're getting is an image—you can view it but not edit it. On the other hand, the Linked file is just that—a link! You can't search or dig into its contents directly.
This is where Bring to OneNote shines! It allows you to put a Word document into OneNote as plain text. Plus, if you're working with an Excel workbook, it exports pure tables directly into OneNote! This way, everything you send over is searchable and editable.
