If your line of work entails downloading multiple files regularly, then chances are that you are already using a download manager. Generally speaking, a download manager can ensure faster download speeds, pause and resume, better file management, error handling and even scheduling, for some advanced tools.

Brisk is a lightweight download manager that provides a quick way for you to grab files over the Internet, more reliable and at faster speeds.

Following a quick and uneventful installation, you are welcomed by a minimalistic and user-friendly interface where you can add your URL. You can either paste it directly or use the clipboard icon to paste the last item you copied to clipboard. Take note that you can add only one link at a time. However, there is no limitation to the number of downloads you can do at the same time.

As you would expect, you can pause, stop and resume the downloads with a press of a button. The files are displayed in the main window with various details that may be useful, including size, progress, status, transfer rate, time left, start and finish dates.

On a side note, currently there are some known issues that the developer is working on, namely the launch on startup and minimize to tray. While they are available in the Settings, they’re not working for the time being.

While the tool seems very simple and straightforward for now, the developer mentioned that he is planning on adding many new features in the future to make it competitive. Some features to come include speed limiter, system tray and including browser extension for enhanced convenience.

Nevertheless, Brisk seems like a reliable and lightweight download manager that can lend a hand to anyone who needs to grab files over the Internet faster.
