The information superhighway, the Internet is home to most news headlines and entertainment all over the world, accessible anytime from a large variety of devices. What lets you understand it are web browsers packed with features to enhance your experience. The market is flooded with such products, with brows being amongst the ones trying to make a name for themselves.

Everything is put together in a pretty lightweight package and you just need to run the executable file, with no installation required. This means your registries remain intact and you can take it with you on a removable storage device to instantly go online. However, you need to make sure the target machine is equipped with Java Runtime Environment.

Running it is where all the fun should start, but it actually ends. A pretty compact window is put at your fingertips, with a seemingly empty interface. At a closer look you manage to spot the small text field where the URL goes. Other than that, there aren't any buttons, menus or sliders.

What makes you look away is the lack of support for modern web-based technology, such as JavaScript, HTML, not to mention FLASH player and others. Regardless of content, all pages are displayed in text mode, which cuts out whatever practicality was left.

The possibility that this type of display might come in handy is for reading and news feeds, without the need for fancy visuals. However, this too is questionable due to the lack of navigation options.

There aren't any history trackers or bookmark managers, not even a context menu. Ironically, this absolute lack of features somehow seems to eat more and more resources, convincing you that looking for an alternative web browser was a bad idea.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that brows is everything but what it wants to be. Sure, it gets you online, but it does so the most basic of ways, just establishing the connection between you and a website, while leaving you stuck there, with no navigation options or any functions whatsoever, making practicality entirely questionable.
