There is probably nothing more annoying than waiting for a slow webpage to load, even though your Internet connection seems to be working just fine. A page might be loading slowly due to various reasons and it would be great to discover and address them to avoid complaints from visitors. BulkPageSpeed can help you in this regard.
Relying on the Google PageSpeed Insights API, this cost-free application is designed to evaluate the loading speeds of one or more webpages, assessing their response time by taking into account several metrics.
There are three ways that you can submit the list of URLs to BulkPageSpeed. The application can collect the clipboard content and insert it into its list, or import the URLs from a text or an XML file. Once the list of URLs is populated, all that is left for you to do is start checking the URLs.
Depending on the number of URLs and the response time of each webpage, it might take more or less time for the analysis to complete. For each and every URL, BulkPageSpeed displays its download speed general score, along with values for a series of metrics, as described below.
The First Contentful Paint (FCP) is the time at which the first text or image is completely loaded. The speed index (SI) shows you how quickly a page’s content is visible, while the Time to Interactive (TTI) reveals the number of seconds that it takes the page to become fully interactive to its visitor.
There are also other metrics, such as the Total Blocking Time (TBT), which measures the time intervall between the FCP and the TTI. BulkPageSpeed also measures the loading speed of HTML, CSS and JavaScript content, as well as individual images and fonts.
All these metrics are tested for both a desktop computer or a mobile device. The values are usually different, as mobile devices offer less computing power.
Not only that BulkPageSpeed can evaluate the loading speed of multiple pages, but it also offers recommendations on how a web developer can improve the metrics of the Google PageSpeed Insights. Detailed reports on the evaluation results can be easily exported to CSV format.
