Calibre2OPDS is a super handy tool that helps you work with your Calibre library. It’s totally free and can read your Calibre database to pull the info needed for creating HTML and OPDS catalogs right in your Calibre library folder.
If you decide to publish this folder on a web server or share it using a syncing service, OPDS-compatible apps like Stanza for iPhone or Aldiko for Android can easily access these catalogs. This means you can automatically see your Calibre library sorted into neat categories, making it easier to find what you want!
The last part of the setup is pretty cool! You can create a cron job that runs every few minutes—around 30 is usually good. This will use Calibre2OPDS to keep generating those catalogs. So, as long as your computer is running, your catalogs stay fresh and up-to-date, and the syncing service publishes any changes automatically!
NOTE: If you're curious about how to get Calibre2OPDS working on your Mac, there are detailed instructions in the included Readme file. It’s got all the info you need!
