Chuerk

Chuerk is a command line program designed to execute swift file and folder shredding tasks. The program is as basic as they come, so there won't be any override algorithms to select and work with.

Chuerk can only be operated through the CMD console. Add the program to the path and you are ready to shred. Chuerk executes two types of shredding, normal and recursive. The normal mode requires nothing else than the path of the file. Once processed, the app should mark the target files with 'Done'.

A recursive shredding is applied to both files and folders, and it is deployed using the -r rule. Use -h to access the help file in order to better understand how things work.

As a standalone tool, Chuerk is clearly a lightweight solution for users that simply wish to shred files just as a simple precaution. From another perspective, the tool can also be integrated into a larger project, if the said project could benefit from sporting a shredder perk.

To sum it up, Chuerk is a file and folder shredder with an unusual but catchy name. It could double as a security measure for individuals who wish to erase files, but not before scrambling up their structure a bit.
