DATA SHREDDER

DATA SHREDDER is a lightweight software tool built to help you permanently remove files and folders from your computer with as little effort as possible.

The application is packed in a clean interface with a simple design and intuitive features, whose only purpose is to erase your files to make sure they cannot be recovered through any means.

It can be configured by any type of users, even those less familiarized with this type of software. Just load the items that you wish to completely remove using the browsing button and proceed with the elimination task. You can add single files or whole folders at once.

During the shredding process, a progress bar is shown to inform you about the task's completion percentage. It had an overall good file erasing speed and it worked without any errors during our testing.

Once the files and folders are added, details about each items can be analyzed, such as name and format. Items added by mistake can be removed from the list.

DATA SHREDDER gives you the possibility to pick one of the many file erasing methods, namely simple overwrite (1 round), British HMG Infosec Standard 5 Baseline Edition (1 round), British HMG Infosec Standard 5 Enhanced Edition (3 rounds), DoD5220.22-M (3 rounds) and others. The tool offers detailed information about each method.

More than that, it can be used to format your hard disks and wipe the free space from your drives.
