Security of your files doesn’t have to rely on the antivirus solution alone. Depending on the files you’re working with, security alternatives can come in the form of encryption. In this regard, DataXWork lets you use various algorithms to protect, or find out more info about the file by calculating checksum values.

With no setup involved, the application is good to go from the moment download is done. This also means it’s easy to carry around on a thumb drive in case you want or need to use it on other computers. There’s no need to worry about the health status of the target PC, because registry entries are not damaged in the process.

Drag and drop is the way to go, but it’s a good idea to first select the operation you want to perform. The compact drop zone also shows the active process to help you out. Processing data can either mean calculating the checksum, encrypting, or compressing to save some disk space. The operation needs to be selected every time it differs from the previous process.

There’s quite the variety of algorithms to use. Hash values rely on SHA1, CRC, and a few variations of MD, while encryption is done with DES, TripleDES, AES, Base64, UnixRouterCode, Xor, Not, or ARC4. Compression also provides a few different types, such as deflate, BZ2, implode, or Lzma.

Every type of operation comes with its own set of behavior rules, such as password, compression ratio, or HEX data display. With all values configured, dropping a target file over the dedicated window instantly processes it. Result is delivered in the source folder by default, but this can be changed from the settings panel.

All things considered, we can state that DataXWork is a powerful application with which to calculate the checksum of files, encrypt, or compress. Multiple profiles can be created and saved, while the method of approach quickly gets you up and running.
