Working with sensitive files on your computer usually requires you to consider efficient protection solutions to prevent security breaches or information leaks.

One of the most convenient methods is by encrypting them with third-party programs, such as Defence Crypto.

Since it is portable, this application does not require you to install it on your computer, as simply running the executable enables you to access all of its functions. Also, it does not tamper with any of your Windows' registry entries, nor does it create additional files or folders.

Despite its simple user interface, the lack of any help documentation might make it difficult for some users to understand and benefit from its functions to their full extent.

Defence Crypto enables you to protect your files through password encryption, but it can also decrypt the content you have previously secured.

Encrypting a file can be easily done by specifying the source item, defining an output path and typing a suitable password in the dedicated field. Decrypting a locked document can be achieved in a similar fashion, by specifying the corresponding file, choosing a destination and typing a valid passkey.

Unfortunately, this application does not feature support for multiple algorithms, as the encryption method it uses is standard. It provides you with quite limited functions, since it is only possible to encrypt or decrypt your content by relying on its default algorithm.

More so, no configuration window, menu or pane is available whatsoever, thus making it impossible to customize your experience in any way other than choosing your password.
