DiskEncryptor allows you to create new virtual disks and CDs and even make an encrypted disk partition (Physical or Virtual) on the Windows system.

DiskEncryptor creates virtual hard disks, which are made up of files that are typically stored on your host computer's hard disk. You can create many of virtual disk drives to store some of the information that needs encryption, those virtual disks are used as the same as the local hard disk.

All the files in the encrypted disk can be password-protected, locked and decrypted. A key advantage of virtual disks is their portability. Because the virtual disks are stored as files on the host machine, you can move them easily to a new location on the same computer or to a totally different computer.

After disk (physical or virtual) is encrypted, you need to unlock it before each use and after use, you only need to click the "Lock" button to prevent others from using the disk.

After encrypted, all the operations on this encrypted disk are the same as on normal disk, when read and write, the decryption and encryption engine is running at transparently in the background.

DiskEncryptor doesn't allow you to read and write the data on the disk partition until the disk is unlocked with the correct password. DiskEncryptor is a very nice application that you could use in order to create new virtual disks and CDs and even make an encrypted disk partition.
