How Does dl Work?
dl is built off of cURL, which means it needs cURL to operate. What’s cool is that it can handle downloading files even if they are split into parts. So if you’ve got a big file that’s been broken up, no worries—it can still get the job done!
Important Notes About Installation
Note: Just a heads up—the installer won’t work with Python 3 because some commands have been taken out of the module. So make sure you're using the right version!
Staying Up to Date
If you want to keep dl running smoothly and stay updated with the latest features or fixes, it's best to use Subversion (SVN). The minor fixes won’t be uploaded here as an archive until there’s a big release, but you'll find these updates in the SVN version.
