Card games tend to be quite addictive and Solitaire is probably the best example, even though some are familiar with another alias for the game: Klondike.

Double Klondike is a simple Mac game that allows you to play Klondike on your computer but employs two decks at the same time to make things more interesting. This version is also known as Double Solitaire, Jumbo or Gargantua.

The Double Klondike main window is similar with any other’s Solitaire game: the main window displays the initial cards puzzle, while the top toolbar provides buttons for the frequently used tools: undo / redo, new, restart, autoplay or statistics.

Double Klondike includes support for one click moves, autoplay and smart dragging in order to reduce the time spent arranging the cards: once you have found a valid move, it is very easy to move the cards around.

Whenever you are out of moves, you can browse the stock pack to find a card that might prove to be useful. The game’s difficulty level can be adjusted by deciding to play in one or in three card draws mode: of course, the first one is more complicated, because you go through the cards stock only 2 times.

Further customization options allow you to use a custom image as the card’s or the game board’s background, to adjust the card spacing or to have a game session automatically saved or restored. You can analyze your game strategy by viewing your detailed statistics.

Double Klondike offers you the possibility to relax by playing a more stimulating version on the Solitaire game: finishing the puzzles can be quite difficult, especially in one draw mode, but the overall effect will be rather engaging.
