DownloadManager is an awesome tool for downloading files! It works as a reliable ftp/http multi-file downloader, letting you grab up to 25 files at once. One of its best features is the ability to resume interrupted downloads. So, if your connection drops, you won't lose everything!

How It Works

The first time you open DownloadManager, it sets up a folder on your Desktop called DM downloads. This is where all your downloaded files will go. Pretty neat, right? If you're curious about this special folder, check out the topic on the Download folder.

Getting Started

If you're already comfortable using the Internet, you won't need too many instructions. Just type in the address of what you want to download into the Address text field and hit that Start! button. You can also drag an internet-location file directly onto DownloadManager's icon. Before you know it, your file will be sitting pretty in your DM downloads folder.

Troubleshooting Tips

If for some reason your download doesn't start, don't panic! You might just need a proxy connection or maybe the site requires that you have cookies enabled. Just check those settings and give it another shot.
