DP Shredder

DP Shredder is a feather-light and portable software application that gives you the possibility to securely delete files and folders from the PC, in order to prevent unauthorized PC users from recovering them with specialized tools. It contains several advanced settings.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the disk and simply click the .exe to launch DP Shredder. Another option is to keep it stored on a USB flash drive in order to directly run it on any computer with minimum effort. Plus, it doesn't change the Windows registry configuration.

The GUI is user-friendly, represented by a single window that provides direct access to all options powered by DP Shredder. You can indicate the file or directory you want to eliminate, enable quick shredding mode to speed up the task, as well as switch to silent mode to be able to carry on with your normal PC activity without any interruptions.

It's possible to pick the number of passes you want the application to make, depending on how long you're willing to spend waiting for it to finish. Supported security algorithms include US DoD 5220 22-M, zero writing, and Gutmann's 35 passes.
