Dynamite Jack is an addictive Mac OS X indie game that combines elements of both stealth with classic Bomberman gameplay. The game delivers a top-down camera perspective, numerous levels, beautiful graphics and features a sci-fi theme.

The storyline behind Dynamite Jack is extremely simple. In a futuristic world, you are a space marine that has been exiled into the Anathema Mines. Your goal is to escape the mines equipped with only a vital flashlight and bombs.

The gameplay is heavily stealth based, which means that you must avoid getting seen by most enemies when you enter locations. In other words, there must be obstacles between you and nearby foes in order to not die. When you enter their view range, they instantly take you down.

The surroundings can be seen through a perpendicular camera that moves with your character. Using your flashlight, you have to find your way out of the dark mines. With your bombs, you must wipe out enemies, machines, cave trolls and mine walls.

A total of 28 fast-paced levels are available. Moreover, Dynamite Jack also enables you to build your own maps using the game editor, share them and play maps created by other players in the community, which requires an online registration.

As far as settings go, Dynamite Jack enables you to configure the controls, toggle the game timer and HUD, choose between windowed and full-screen modes, select the resolution that works best for you and adjust the music and sound effects volume levels.

In short, Dynamite Jack is a great action-adventure arcade game with a lot of explosive action. If you like Bomberman, stealth games or any game in general, chances are that you will enjoy this game, as well, and will want to finish it even after playing just a few minutes.
