Most of the times it’s good to have everything in plain sight, even if you’re fully aware of it. For instance, you can use applications like Easy Notes Lite to create lists of daily tasks, or to plan ahead, and keep all information either on the desktop and saved in an organized database.

The application comes with a tray menu, which is the place to manage general settings, and create new notes. There are a couple of notes showing up by default on the desktop just to give you an idea of what you’re up against. Truth be told, the first impression is decent, with a minimalistic, custom design that quickly gets you up and running.

Whenever the application is in focus a text editing toolbar shows up on screen. It allows you to customize text using rich formatting tools, such as multiple fonts, text and highlight color, size, various attributes, and even page arrangement options. You’re not limited to a specific number of characters, with a scrollbar showing up if text exceeds the window size.

A note can be made to stay on top of every other window, and even rolled up to leave the title bar visible, with the possibility to change the title for easy identification. There’s also a calendar you can use. It’s fitted with a large display area of the current month, navigation controls, and a text pad to add notes to selected days.

All notes are saved to a database, so they’re not lost, even if closed. What’s more, the application allows you to export notes to RTF files, and even create new notes from such files, or from content stored in the clipboard. Customization isn’t abundant, but you can change opacity and color for all notes.

On an ending note, Easy Notes Lite is surely worth your while, coming with a decent set of features, neat visuals, and comfortable overall experience. Text can be customized any way you see fit, with notes created from default text, clipboard, or RTF files. Although you can’t set alarms, the calendar helps you track important events in an intuitive manner.
