Electorrent

Electorrent is a cool tool that connects to your uTorrent server from anywhere, as long as the Web UI server is on. This means you can manage all your torrent downloads from any computer that's on the same network!

How Does Electorrent Work?

The Electorrent app is built using Electron, Node, and AngularJS. It has a simple, clean design that's easy to use. Plus, it can handle magnet links too! To get started with Electorrent, you need to check some settings in your uTorrent application.

Setting Up Electorrent

First off, head over to the Preferences window in uTorrent and click on the Remote tab. Make sure the local Web UI Server is enabled. You’ll also need to set up a username and password for connecting remotely. You can see which port it's listening on or even pick a different one if you want.

Connecting to Your Server

Once that’s done, go back to the main window of Electorrent. Here, just enter your server's IP address, port number, and those credentials you set up earlier. Electorrent will automatically find all your torrent transfers that are running in uTorrent and show them right there!

Torrent Management Made Easy

The main window of Electorrent organizes your torrents into categories like downloading, finished, seeding, stopped, or failed. This makes it super easy to check the status of each transfer and choose whether to start or pause downloads.

Details at a Glance

You can see important info for each torrent like its name, size, progress status, label, and when it was added. There’s also a handy menu for actions like rechecking files or removing links.

Your Default Magnet Link Utility

If you want Electorrent to be your go-to app for magnet links, you can set that up in Preferences too! This way you can easily add new torrents as long as there's a magnet link available—just remember that it won't work with .torrent files!
