File Tree

The Explorer provided by Windows offers enough for our daily browsing through folders and files, but what if you'd want to have some additional functionality? For extra features, you could check out File Tree, a program that can be used alongside File Explorer.

File Tree adds features that are not present in the current File Explorer, but that some might find useful for specific tasks.

With this program, you can see a complete tree list of all the folders and subfolders you have on your drives, and if you need to have a clearer look at them, you can adjust the fonts used in the list as well.

One particular feature that I know many of us would like to be included in the default file explorer is the ability to see a folder's size without having to specifically check it every time, in the properties tab.

File Tree brings a function that allows you to view the size of any folder on your storage device. This can help a lot when you are trying to clean your drives or want to organize your folders. It can be used not only for your internal drives but also for local cloud platforms or USB devices.

Another visually pleasing feature is the Top Items Chart tab. In there, you can see a pie chart of the folders that occupy the most space on your drive. This way, you can have an overview of your "heavy" folders, which can be accessed directly from the chart as well.

For people who need to locate and work on files located deep inside subfolders, File Tree can become a useful tool in their daily routine, but can as well be used by anyone who needs a more in-depth image of the contents on their drive.
