FOCA, which stands for Fingerprinting Organizations with Collected Archives, is an advanced software solution that can help you locate metadata and other types of hidden information within the documents it scans.

These documents that contain the said data can be located on web pages, as this application will download and analyze them on the computer it's running on.

Before beginning a scan, you must create a project on your computer, where you need to specify a project name, a domain website, alternative domains and a destination path for files to be saved in.

This enables you to save your current progress with a certain project and resume it at a later point in a convenient way.

The first step after loading or creating a project would be performing a search by using one of the tools provided by the app, such as a web searcher (that uses a search engine), a DNS search, a dictionary search and PTR scanning.
