Folder Hub

Folder Hub is a handy tool that can really speed up how you find your files on your Mac. If you're only using Finder, it can take a few steps to dig out those frequently-used files or folders, especially if they’re lost in a pile of subfolders.

Easy Access to Your Files

This software gives you a convenient panel that pops up from the top of your screen or from under the notch if you're using a MacBook. It lets you create custom workspaces filled with files, folders, and apps that you use all the time.

How to Use Folder Hub

To open the panel, just move your cursor to the top edge of your screen or where the notch is on your MacBook. You can also use a hotkey for quick access! The cool thing is that this panel disappears when you move your cursor away, but if you want it to stick around, you can pin it so it stays open.

No More Temporary Storage Worries

Unlike some other apps out there, Folder Hub doesn’t mess around with temporary storage. Instead, it focuses on making it easier for you to get to those important files and folders right when you need them. Plus, there’s a context menu that lets you open them with specific apps or navigate right to their location.

Create Custom Workspaces

When you're setting up a workspace in Folder Hub, you can pick a unique icon and choose one or more files or folders to include. In Folders mode, you'll only see the selected items. If you switch to Subfolders mode, then all contained files and directories will pop up for easy access.

A Few Missing Features

The setup process is pretty straightforward. However, I wish drag-and-drop was an option because that would make adding folders super easy! It would be great if I could just drop files directly into the panel too.

User-Friendly and Customizable

Overall, Folder Hub is user-friendly and customizable without being too distracting while you're working. It might not have tons of features at first glance; some might find paying for the full version tough since the free edition allows usage of up to three workspaces without any cost involved. But hey, the developer seems keen on improving features over time!
