Free Recorder Explorer Portable

Designed as the portable counterpart of Free Recorder Explorer, this tiny software application helps you establish a connection between the computer and Windows Phone 7.1 devices, in order to transfer recordings.

Since there is no installation involved, you can save the executable file to any part of the hard disk and just click it to run. There is also the possibility to save Free Recorder Explorer to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly, without making any other installers.

More importantly, the tool does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, thus leaving the disk clean after removal.

The interface is user-friendly, made from a standard window with a plain and simple structure. If the mobile device is already linked to the computer, Free Recorder Explorer automatically establishes the connection.

It is possible to select the network interface and port number, check out the name, duration, size and description for each recording, as well as modify the default download path. You can retrieve all recordings or only the selected entries. There are no other notable options provided by this software tool.

There were no kind of issues in our tests, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It is very responsive to commands and runs on low CPU and memory, so it does not put a strain on computer performance. Although it does not integrate rich features, Free Recorder Explorer gets the job done and helps users easily retrieve recordings from Windows Phone 7.1 devices.
