GBCrypt is a super handy app that helps you protect your important files. It makes them totally safe from other users by encrypting them, and when you need to, you can easily decrypt them to get back to the original files.

How GBCrypt Works

What's cool about GBCrypt is that it’s built on the Java platform. This means you don’t have to install anything! Just run the .BAT file in the folder where you extracted it. You can save this folder anywhere, but for best results, it's better to run it from a local drive and with admin rights.

User-Friendly Interface

When you open the .BAT file, you'll see a command line console pop up. It’s pretty straightforward! The main window will guide you on how to use the program for the first time. You’ll need to import or create locking keys—these are essential for both encrypting and decrypting your files. Make sure to save those keys in a local folder!

Strong Encryption Methods

GBCrypt uses AES 256-bit encryption combined with Blowfish to keep your files safe from prying eyes. Plus, after decrypting your files, it checks their integrity using the SHA1 checksum algorithm. Pretty neat, right?

Keeping Your Keys Safe

The keys used for AES/Blowfish encryption are protected by an RSA 4096-bit algorithm. You’ll want to keep these keys in a local folder since they’re stored within any encrypted file for extra protection.

Batch Processing Made Easy

You can easily manage single files or batches of files with GBCrypt. Just pick how you want to import them! If you're working on one file, hit “Encrypt File.” If you've got a whole folder full of files, choose “Encrypt Folder” instead.

Simplifying Encryption/Decryption

The process of encrypting or decrypting is simple as pie! Just tell GBCrypt where your file is located and whether you want to overwrite the original or save it under a new name in a different spot. After each task finishes up, you'll get a notification letting you know everything went smoothly!
