What is Get iPlayer GUI Remixed FOR LINUX?

Get iPlayer GUI Remixed

Get iPlayer GUI Remixed is a cool Kommander script that takes inspiration from Greg Sheldon's original Get iPlayer GUI. I thought it would be fun to try my hand at Kommander scripting, and this is my very first go at creating something like this!

What's New in This Version?

This version comes with some neat features. You can set up a proxy, manage your Get iPlayer files, and even use a basic play and stop function. If you're watching ITV content that's split into parts, it'll help you generate playlists too! Plus, there are some extra functionalities that were missed in Greg's original version.

Looking Ahead

I'm already working on the next version! It will include a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) feature and a mini Encoder that's packed with more options. This will eventually lead to a handy DVD backup tool, making it even easier to save your favorite shows.

What Do You Need?

Right now, to get everything running smoothly, you'll need:

  • Kommander

  • FLVStreamer (don't worry; I included the bin file)

  • FFmpeg

  • Mplayer

  • Awk

  • Sed

  • Xterm

  • A few media players (only if you want playback)
