GLOBOS is a cool little desktop tool that sits quietly in your system tray. It lets you swap out your boring wallpaper for a stunning view of Earth (think world map or globe) or even the Moon! The Earth view adjusts based on where you are and the time, so it shows sunlight correctly on the map. And when you pick the Moon view, it even considers that special glow called earthshine (yep, just like Da Vinci described!).

Easy to Use and Install

No need to go through a long setup process with GLOBOS. You can simply extract the files from the archive and double-click the .exe file to get started. You can even save it on a USB drive and run it on any computer without installing anything! It doesn't bug you with pop-ups, but it does create an icon in your system tray. Just right-click it to find all your options.

Customize Your Wallpaper

You have some fun choices with GLOBOS! You can set your wallpaper to show Earth, the Moon, or a Globe view. If you want to go back to your original wallpaper, it's super easy! Plus, if something looks off on your display, you can zoom in or out and reload the image. There’s also a handy option to put your monitor to sleep directly from that right-click menu.

Extra Features at Your Fingertips

But wait, there's more! From GLOBOS' right-click menu, you can access extra tools like opening Windows Explorer or Calculator. Want to reboot or shut down? You got it! You can even make any app window stay on top of others or tweak its transparency level. Need to open or close your disc tray? No problem!

Customize Your Earth View

If you're feeling creative, you can switch out the standard Earth image for one of your own. Just save a custom image as “earth.bmp” in the same folder as GLOBOS and restart the program. And don’t worry; if you exit GLOBOS, it’ll automatically switch back to your original wallpaper!
