Go2PDF

Go2PDF is a software tool which can turn any printable application into a PDF file, whether we are talking about images, text documents, spreadsheets, presentations or other types of files. It can be easily worked with.

Once installed, you can access the virtual PDF printer from the 'Control Panel' area, and add files to the list by using the 'drag and drop' method.

The file queue displays the name, status, owner, number of pages, size, date of submission, along with the port for each entry. When you establish the output directory and filename, you can proceed with the conversion procedure. Processing multiple items at the same time is possible.

Go2PDF provides users with several configuration options regarding page setup, embedded fonts, PDF options and access control. For instance, you can select the paper size, orientation, resolution, scaling, measurement unit and quality level. But you can also edit PDF metadata, enable automatic output mode after establishing the default target folder, choose the PDF compatibility version, as well as password-protect the documents and set permissions (e.g. allow modification or document assembly).

The PDF conversion program uses a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or displaying error dialogs; we have not encountered any problems throughout our testing. Rookies should be pleased by the simplicity of the task provided by Go2PDF, while experienced users can tinker with the configurable settings.
