Gokotta is a cool alternative music player built on Electron and Vue.js. It has a simple, user-friendly interface that makes it easy to gather your favorite tunes from different sources.
With Gokotta, you can easily browse through your music library right in the main window. The first thing you need to do is point the app to the folders where your music is stored. No worries if you have multiple folders; you can add as many as you like!
The best part? You don’t have to manually select tracks! Just direct Gokotta to a folder, and it will automatically scan for compatible file formats. It’ll add all the songs to the library panel without needing any further input from you.
Right now, Gokotta supports MP3, AAC, and WAV audio formats. Keep in mind that this project is still being developed, so there might be some hiccups along the way.
If you want to listen to a track, just double-click on it in the main window. The song will be added to your queue automatically! But remember, you'll only get tracks in the queue by actually playing them.
It’s super important to set up your tracks in order right from the start because once they're added, you can’t rearrange them later on. In the bottom section of Gokotta’s main window, you can check out playback progress, pause your song, or skip ahead or back between tracks.
To wrap it up: Gokotta gives you an attractive interface for enjoying music and managing your collection. While some basic features are still missing or not working perfectly yet, keeping an eye on its development could lead to some great updates!
