GrabTube

GrabTube is yet another app developed to help users download clips from popular video sharing services.

A small floating window remains only on top for a very quick downloading process that requires users to simply drag the target link in the download box.

The application works with many video sharing websites, including Dailymotion, Metacafe, Break and Liveleak, so simply load your favorite clips in Internet Explorer, drag the link in the floating window and wait.

GrabTube doesn’t seem to work with Mozilla Firefox, but everything runs smoothly with Internet Explorer, regardless of the Windows version running on your system.

It’s more important to note however that GrabTube can perform conversion too whenever a download task comes to an end. Which means that you can save the target videos in a different format to disk, such as MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, MP3, WMA, MPG or 3GP.

The application can use a custom resolution and delete or keep the source FLV file.

GrabTube places an icon in the Windows System Tray and waits for new download links. It can process multiple links at the same time, as long as they come from the supported websites.

As a conclusion, GrabTube is an effective way to download clips from the Internet, but support for Mozilla Firefox is absolutely mandatory. It works fine with Internet Explorer, so those who want to take the most out of this app should use the built-in Windows browser.
