Since most office work is being replaced, or better yet enhanced by computer applications, writing also benefits from this technology. There are countless applications out there specially designed to provide the right means of imputing text, with support for spell check. As the name suggests, Grammar check is strictly dedicated to having your text analyzed and fixed so that it is clean and correct.

The application keeps all its features stored in a simple interface, which, truth be told, leaves a lot more to be desired. What's more, if you don't manage to get acquainted with its features, don't bother looking for a help manual, because the only aid provided is in the example text.

One of the biggest disadvantages of the application is the extremely poor, almost absent, word database it comes equipped with. The application is supposed to mark out words it does not recognize to get your attention and double check if it is written correctly. However, even the example text has nearly all words marked out.

Amongst features you get to work with though, you find a sentence separator that can be set to delimit them with a custom separator symbol. You can choose to display syntactic and grammatical corrections for marked sentences, which is basically a handful of suggestions for a selected text string based on relevance.

You can access more in-depth options by having sentences analyzed. This brings up a new, similarly confusing window. The selected bit of text is displayed so you can easily click on marked words to view variants. Patterns can be viewed for further analysis, but the design only poses further accommodation problems.

Grammar check is nothing more than a good concept that needs to undergo a lot more work. Unfortunately, in order to fully take advantage of what it has to offer you need to spend a considerably large amount of time to configure it, not to mention just populating the dictionary. It's far easier to rely on the professional tools provided by dedicated text utilities.
