Geometry Wars is an arcade game developed for the Xbox that has a fairly straightforward gameplay: your goal is to destroy as many enemies as possible, score points, and survive as long as possible.

GridWars is a macOS game that allows you to enjoy the same experience on your Mac computer. The game has been ported to OS X with the help of the BlitzMax programming language.

To start playing the game, all you have to do is launch the gridwars.app file included in the software archive: by default, the game will automatically go to full screen mode, but you can quickly switch to window mode via the Video Settings panel.

The same area allows you to adjust the screen and playfield size, to toggle the scroll activation, and to adjust the GFX settings (Solid, Medium, Low, or High).

At the same time, you can also adjust the volume for the background music and for the game’s sound effects.

GridWars offers you the possibility to control your control your ship and shoot at your enemies by using your keyboard, your mouse, or both. GridWars also comes with joystick support.

Besides the sensitivity levels, GridWars also allows you to change the keys or buttons you want to use for specific actions: to move around, to fire in different directions, or to activate the bomb. Note that while playing you can press the F3 key to switch to different types of grids.

GridWars comes with a colorful design and endless waves of enemies that will keep you focused on your task: to move your ship around the playfield and destroy as many opponents as you can without getting hit.
