Halma

Halma is a fun and simple board game where your main goal is to move all your pieces to the other player’s starting area. Sounds easy, right? Well, once you start playing, you'll see things get a bit tricky! You really have to think ahead to win.

How the Game Works

At first glance, it looks straightforward. Each player starts in one corner of the board. Your job is to get your pieces over to where your opponent started as quickly as you can.

Moving Your Pieces

You can move checkers into an adjacent square in any direction. Plus, you can jump over any other piece on the board! This means that even if you have a piece stuck behind others, you might be able to leapfrog your way out of trouble.

The Strategy Behind Halma

But don’t let those simple rules fool you! Even how you start can change everything. You can jump over multiple pieces at once, which lets you travel from one end of the board to the other super fast!

A Unique Twist

Keep in mind that just hanging out in your starting area won’t save you. If your opponent has even one checker in your camp while you're holding onto all other squares—even yours—you lose!

Multiplayer Fun

You can play with a friend on the same computer, but sharing a mouse might get a little messy! It would be awesome if there was an online multiplayer mode or LAN support, but sadly that's not included yet.

Customizing Your Game

The game offers three difficulty levels for AI opponents and gives you three different starting layouts to choose from. Plus, feel free to customize with different background colors and checker colors for each player!
